Dolphon® HI THERM BC 359 25 Liter

Dolphon^® BC-359 is an amber-coloured dip varnish, ready for processing, based on modified polyester.

Dolphon^®® BC-359  is a very reactive dip varnish with a very short curing time at high curing temperatures, or short curing times at low curing temperatures. Its outstanding properties are long-term stability in storage, and very good resistance to moisture, chemicals and abrasive influences.

The dip varnish is UL-approved and is used in Class H applications and Class H UL systems. 

In particular, it has a very good resistance to caking.

It is compatible with all common enamelled wires.

- Distribution transformers
- Coils
- Stators and rotors (of motors up to average speed)

Suitable for: Insulating systems up to thermal class H according to IEC 85

This product is RoHS compliant according to 2011/65 EC

The dip varnish is delivered in disposable drums containing 4.5 L, 25 L or 200 L.

The resin can be stored for up to 12 months at max. 25 °C if sealed correctly in original containers. It is imperative that opened containers are resealed and protected from direct light.

The dip varnish can be processed in conventional dipping installations and continuous dipping installations for varnishes.  Take standard protective measures when processing the liquid varnish. Follow the details of the safety data sheet, as well as the M050 code of practice of the German Chemical Industry Association. 

It is possible to add Dolph T 200 thinner to achieve the ideal processing viscosity.

Before curing, the solvents contained in the dip varnish must evaporate off as much as possible. Follow the relevant regulations and laws for the processing of varnishes containing solvents. During curing processes in the drying oven, the fresh air supply should be set to the prescribed amount for safety reasons.

at 150 °C 0.75 – 2 h

As the hardened dip varnish is practically insoluble, the workplace and tools must be cleaned promptly using DuPont^™TMVoltatex^®®5050  cleaner. The maintenance and care of impregnating plants, especially cleaning, must be carried out according to operational requirements. Always refer to the user manual of the plant.
